Mr S anderson

Welcome to Ss Peter & Paul's Catholic Primary School

It is my privelege to welcome you, as Acting Headteacher at Ss Peter and Paul's Catholic Primary School, to our school; a place where children thrive and a love of learning is at the very centre of what we do.

Welcome to our school community where we are ‘Learning to Value; Learning to Achieve and Grow in the Peace of Christ’ each day, as we journey through school.

From their earliest days in Reception, we encourage our children to be independent, responsible and enthusiastic learners. We enjoy working in partnership with parents/carers to empower our children to reach their full potential and enable them to develop spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally, morally and socially.

At Ss Peter and Paul’s we follow what Jesus taught us in the Gospels; we know that God made us and that we are all equal – no-one is better than anyone else so we respect, value and learn to tolerate everyone in our school community. We work hard to be the best we can be, whilst maintaining humility and pride in our achievements.

We are thankful for the talents and gifts God has given each member of our school community and we all work hard to use them to make sure we make our school, our local community and the world a better place. Our staff, pupils and families work together to make sure that everyone in our school is happy and feels safe by being kind, caring, well behaved and polite.

We also acknowledge that we all make mistakes and when this does occur, we look to Jesus to inspire us to make things right and learn from this.

I hope you enjoy the website, which is packed full of information on how school operates. If you have any queiries, please contact the school office. You will find our details below.

With kindest regards,
Mr Anderson.

Our VALUES & Aims

Learning to Achieve & grow
in the peace of christ

At Ss Peter and Paul’s we aim to promote a learning community based on the Gospel values of love, trust and respect, where the achievements of everyone are recognised and celebrated.

MISSION STATEMENT: Learning to Value, Learning to Give, Learning to Achieve, Growing in the Peace of Christ.

At our school, we are proud to uphold six key values that were thoughtfully created by our pupils. Each value is linked to a significant Saint whose life reflects the meaning of that value. Through learning about these Saints, pupils are encouraged to reflect on how they can live out these values in their own lives, growing closer to Jesus through their actions, choices, and relationships. This approach helps to nurture a strong sense of faith, character, and community across all year groups.

Our School Aims

This vision is to be shared by all the school community through the following ways:

  • To be committed to honesty and responsibility in all relationships.
  • To provide a rich, exciting and stimulating curriculum which challenges every pupil to achieve their maximum potential.
  • To create a family ethos with a caring and welcoming atmosphere that gives us all a sense of belonging.
  • To provide a calm, safe environment for every person to grow, learn and feel valued.
  • To provide each individual with the life skills necessary to become a responsible citizen, committed to the church.
  • To provide opportunities to form links with local, national and international communities, developing our understanding of the world beyond our school.
